Just acquired a (almost new) mow-an-vac with extra hose to hook up to our lawn tractor. Time to up date from a sweeper unit. Got way to many leaves to rake-sweep not to mention old age has a heck of a lot to do with the situation. Son found it from a friend of a friend.price was more than reasonable so couldn"t pass it up. No more sweeping and raking our acreage. Now the storage shed just got revised upward in size for more stuff to shed come spring building time.
Does any one have this kind of unit(agri-fab) and whats the opinions ?
LOU

Just sold one like the one you have did a pretty good job but it was aggravating to get the tail gate off to dump and its not high enough to get a packed load slide out.I have an older Peco model that works like a charm and dumps cleanly.

When we lived in the "Trees" in N.Ill. we had one just like yours by Agri-fab and it worked great. Found out real quick that the higher the mower deck and leaf pick up function still functioned the better the vac operated. The grass which was cut tended to gum up the deck and hose surfaces which retarded the flow of leaves to the basket.Chopping leaves worked best when dry and frost free also.Make sure the air filters on the vac and tractor are working ,lots of dust at times. Good luck.JH

Throw that Agri- fab sweeper on your creigslist
Lots of garden tractor enthusiasts looking for good ones.

Some forums have a transportation network to move things like that without actual shipping costs.

AgriFab is a long-time contract builder, also sells under their own name, generally decent quality, reasonably priced equipment.Somewhat of the order Haban was for the years they were in business.Haban built attachments for many different brandname L&G tractors(decks, snow equip, carts, ground engaging tools and it appears to me that AgriFab is somewhat following in that field.Rumor has it that when Haban closed A-F aquired their"intellectual property" but no one seems to know for sure, and they do not support Haban mfg'd equipment.A-F has a decent website and if I recall correctly, solicits customer, inventor, designer input.

THANKS FOR THE INFORMATION. Wasn't sure who made it ,other then the name on the unit. Guess I'm sorta slow at times. Do want to thank you for your reply. Looked up the compamy on internet and seen our unit .Sort of expensive there but we really really got a bargain.Like I've said before on theis site, GOD PROVIDES us with necessary items we NEED. Never fails.
Thanks again. LOU

What I like about that company is that it has parts readily available for all their products.

Expensive in the first place, is cheaper in nthe long run.
