Is it possilble to convert a 65 ford 2000 with a standard 4 speed trans to a live pto configration? If so what would be the best way to go forward.

find one with live power and buy it. because you need everything from the engine back. the trans is different, output shaft for pto different, possibly even the center housing if it doesn't have the holes for locating pto clutch housing.

The four speed was never equipped with a live PTO option so the internal parts don't exist. You can swap in an eight speed trans equipped with the live pto but you will need at a minimum the transmission, dual clutch assy, and flywheel. The rear end should work but I'm not 100% sure.

Might want to consider selling or trading if you really need the live pto unless you can get these parts really cheap.
