any advise on this baler

does anyone know much about a vermeer 605b round baler.there is one on ebay here in ohio a guy might get for a good price but i dont know nothing about them thanks RICK

That's a real early baler. It's not an open throat baler and I think the hay has to be cured right for it to bale well. The F, G, and H balers were open throat and can be adjusted to bale really well with hay that is not quite at the right stage.

it's not worth much, a 605 c,d,f would be a better choice, been told the e and g balers were lighter built balers and to avoid them

I think........not sure........it had the flat belt in the bottom, instead of the roller(s) like the later models; if so, you DO NOT want it.

every one is right neighbor had one and couldn,t get a bale started if hay was not perfect. have a f and like it

Get one of those old 850 NH lots of parts good old balers.
