I serviced my '06 super Duty last evening. I did oil and secondary fuel filter, then removed primary, then went for dinner and let the fuel drain from the housing. When I came back 45 min. later fuel was still draining. My recollection had been that it all drained out in a few minutes. Maybe full fuel tank makes the difference?

Full makes a difference. I always have the oil drainer under them when I change them. Pull cap, pull filter, stick new filter in, put cap on. No need to drain a bunch of fuel, just enough to get any water out.

Could have been siphoning from tank.

When I service my fuel filters ('03 6.0) Fuel dribbles from the water seperator / primary filter for a minute or two, then stops.
