Classified ads?

Has anyone who has advertised anything for sale recently here at YT actually sold it to a legitimate buyer? I have had several items listed in the classifieds over the past few months and the only responses I have had are all SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!

Well, it could be because most of the classifieds now have extreme prices for junk and the freight is prohibitive.
During better times people may be a little more willing to go out on a limb for some of that behind the barn cow lot stuff but now they are a little closer with a buck.
I'm also a little leery of ads that the seller hasn't a clue of what he really has, thinks everything is rare, a 5-year-old paint job is an older restoration and can't spell on top of it.
Good luck to you…….

I advertised a block for a JD-A and I've got 3 scam responses. They all ask what the asking price is, which happened to be clearly stated in the ad.

I responded to an add in the photo adds and the guy told me the price was a misprint,it was actually 500 dollars more.I tried to buy a part from the parts photo adds and the guy wouldn't price it,just kept saying make me an offer, you know what you can afford to spend.I've bought tractors and the guy sends my check back.I suppose he got a better offer.I know people who have driven hundreds of miles to find the tractor they bought was sold to someone else.

$15000 4020 $4000 farmall m $12000 IH 1066 Tractors priced in fantasy land. I can not beleive they would not sell first day.
