Last of one feild went in yesterday. Ended that feild with 172 bu average, moisture was down to 19.8 yesterday, feild average test weight was 56.2. That was 3rd year corn. Very happy for my light soil and low rainfall we had theis early summer. Way more corn that I ever expected. That was 92 day YGCB.
Contracts are filled. Now I need to search for the best market for the rest of my corn as it is all non GMO and down to 19% or less. Test's weight's SHOULD average 55, but cant count the kernals before their in a box!

Dave your posts have sounded just like father-in-law use to talk Usually lost the corn crop in Iowa three or four times and still ended up with a heck of a yield. Must be a corn farmer mind set.

Moisture on the load I just unloaded is still 26.5%. That is a 100 day. Yield is at 184 bpa I forget where in Mn. you are. I'm in So. central Mn. near Mankato.

Your 184 bpa at 26.5% actually yielded less than Dave's 172 bpa at 19.8%. Difference was about 2 bpa. Comes out to about 160 bpa.

Forgot we were that close. I took in a load this morning that sat on the wagons 20 hours, it was a wet spot planted late & froze off, wanted it out before taking the corn head off. They tested it at 25.9%, I was amazed, they musta hit the hopperful I put on from the other field. Shoulda been a lot wetter than that.

Don't think I found anything under 25% yet.

Beans from last nite were 14%. If only the header would slide a little better over the goo.
