Radio Flyer Wagon Red Solution

I called Radio Flyer today and they sell a 5 ounce can of the correct color red paint for touch-ups. According to them the paint is the same color for old and new wagons. Five ounces is not a lot of paint but I hope to be able to paint a sample and have that scanned to get more paint. I could not get a number. I guess that is a secret. Again I was told it was approximately candy apple red or fire engine red and probably closer to fire engine red but that was as much information as I could get.

Thanks for all of your replies.

Might want to check with wheel horse, they have the newer "candy red" and the origional red in big cans for around $ 8.00

There's a world of difference between candy apple red (which it ain't) and fire engine red (which I suspect is real close. I's take them up on the sample, and get it scanned.

FYI, Fire engine red varies also, different makes of fire trucks differ depending on the manufacturer.

There are LOTS of red shades out there we found that out trying to pic red for a fire truck. We used some type of Ford red but have used a Fiero red or Firebird red and there just so many boggles the mind.
