I know this has been dicussed many times before but, I never paid any attention to it because I didn't have a problem. As of today, sparrows have made deposits on my 27 D J.D. and oliver 60. Being the kind hearted person I am, I do not want to chase them out in the cold, I just want to KILL them. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

What do you have in your area as far as birds of prey? We have little falkons that, between them and barn owls control birds and mice. Most of the barns have a hole in one gabel with an open crate fastened to the wall inside for an owl den and a hole on the other end with a shelf for the falcons. Seems to work real well.

Just put some rubber snakes over the tractors and the birds leave,we have used them for years and birds stay away.

(quoted from post at 21:17:01 11/01/09) A CD on a string? Won't kill them, but might scare them off.

Might attract the song birds though.....Gotta be careful.

On a stretch of road here where it ran through a really populated forest, they cleared the shoulders back about 20 ft on each side then hung CD's about every 25 meters on each side. Seemed to do the trick by reflecting light at night. Someone went through and stole most of the CD's one night. Redneck ain't just for us Americans...
