OT: Pumpkin Harvest In

A farmer in Ohio sent me these pictures of his pumpkin crop for 2009. He had 3 trailer loads with about 7.5 tons per trailer load. He can irrigate them in dry weather since he's near a river. Don't think he needed that this year. Hal

Oh man, you always have nice pictures! If the apples wernt enought, now we see these nice pumpkins,,,Thanks for posting them. j

Those pictures are easy to post just right click on the picture and then left click on Properties
and you will see what I used to post them. You can use the "Optional Image URL" and put those in here separated with just a comma. Hal

Every one I had on the vines this year rotted before they got ripe. Had vines that where 20 plus feet out from the rots and had a lot of pumpkins on but ALL of them rotted on the bottoms

No, I mean those are nice pics for the season. Im not to good with posting pics, or useing this computer...My wife laughs because I cant do anything on here,,other than post messages. J

Now that's something I really miss. No pumpkins here in Iraq. Matter of fact, almost no vegetation at all. Lots of fine sand, some almost as fine as baby powder.
I would usually have a good sized garden with squash and pumpkins. I enjoyed making pies from scratch from pumpkins that I had grown. A lot of work but boy it's worth it when your family and friends take that first bite!
We have a pumpkin farm practically in our back yard, Leeds pumpkin farm near Delaware. We always go there with the kids, they have all kinds of stuff to do. One time I estimated they must've had around 3,000 people there based on the number of cars parked in the field. Thanks for the pics!

I went to school in Elkton not far from the Delaware border. We played football against Newark, several around Wilmington and Middletown. Glad you enjoyed the pictures. Hal

Here's Jon's instructions for posting pictures.
There been some changes on the forums since he came out with that. I use the html way of posting using these < > as Jon has shown for posting 2 or more pictures. Hal
PS: You need to try it you can't mess up if it doesn't post a pic you will get a red X. That tells you didn't do something right.

Are we talking Delaware Ohio? We have those towns in Ohio, but they are quite a ways from each other.

A few pumpkins in my warehouse. Grown in Indiana, Michiagn and Ohio. 100 X 100 warehouse filled.

They went all over this side of the Mississippi.
