got the front axle back from the machine shop, machined .005 off each spindle because of excessive wear. made new bushings for the spindles, then had bushings made for both spindle arms. also had thrust bearings made so the spindles dont wear on the bottoms of the front axle. gonna put new bearings , races and seals in the hubs, also replacing the tie rod ends and then off to the paint shop. total machine cost, 375.00 a lot cheaper than replacing the spindles, new about 275 per side, plus bushings. heres a couple pics. kind of a fun little tractor to work on, used to the red ones!!! amazing how simple designed this tractor is.
