Harvest pic-best $6 I spent

My kids wanted to play, so I gave them a couple bushel to play in. Best $6 I spent all year. So much for those expensive toys at home. Looks like nothing going to be happening tomorrow, supposed to get 1-2" of rain.

That's cool!

What are those darker & lighter areas in your pictures? I kinda remember seeing something like that a month or so ago. Was it shadows? Caused by something bright up in the sky? I can't really remember, been so long.

Raining for 2 hours now this morning. No beans out, corn is 1/4 or so done, running 30% moisture. No one likes to harvest in November 'here', too close to winter & snow.

Gonna be a fun one. Or just bring in a blizzard & let the pain stop until spring. :)

When I'se a kid, all corn was pulled by hand; can remember my Dad giving me his pocket knife and showing me how to make stick figures (cows, mules, men, etc) by cutting a section of cornstalk and peeling slivers off (for arms, legs, heads) to stick into the pith; I was 7 years old.

All three actually got in on it, $2 a piece wasn't too bad! Yes, the sun came out this day. Yesterday: foggy and cruddy, today overcast and some sun luckily, tomorrow 2 inches of rain.

I bet the critters will like that pile of food as well. I've seen a lot more grain on the ground than that just from people not paying attention when they'er unloading.

You need to get that in a 8x10 and hang it on the wall ... so ever time you have a down day .. you just have to look at a BRIGHT day...

I vote this as best picture posted on ytmag.

A pile of dirt works pretty good too, even when wet. They don't care too much (mom or who ever does the laundry might).
