i called a locol tire dealer to check prices on some front tires 6.00 16 and he give me some prices on some.i asked him if they are tubeless or not.and he said that he aint heard of any tubeless ones. all the ones he has seen took tubes.so is there any company that makes tubeless tires this size or not?

I've got Firestone, East One, General, and a few others I cant recall. My tire guy always mounts them tubeless until I cant keep them inflated that way any longer. Then we put a tube in them. Sometimes thats a decade, or sometimes a week. I will say that the East One tires Im not wasting the time of mounting them tubeless any more.

part of the problem with tubless tires on tractors is that the wheels themselves arnt designed for them, most old tractor wheels will leak air when run with tubless car tires, at least mine do, i now run tube type 3 rib tractor front tires

I bought a set of Farm King 6.00 by 16 tires last fall. Spent 49 bucks a tire and would not have even considered a tubeless version. Tubes were 7 bucks or so. I don't have the desire to be putting tubes in something after having the wheels off a week before. I have yet to see a tractor rim perfectly straight on these older models. A well placed stone or obstruction in a field can quickly ruin your day without a tube.

I have tubeless 6-ply 3-rib titans on the front of my WD. I needed new tires and rims at the same time so I just went tubeless. That's been over 6 years ago and I'm very happy with the results.

I do the same as kyhayman, mount up tubeless if they will at all possible hold air, only then put a tube in. I have very little trouble, actually less trouble with tubeless than tube-type. Paul

how much was the titan tires.i seen two tires on ebay for 150.00 shipping and all.would this be a good deal or not.

I think the tires (5.50 16) were around $50ea. and the new tubeless rims were around $40ea. That's been quite some time ago and my memory might be off.

Why would you want tubeless, there nothing but trouble.I can't tell you how many tubes i've put in tubeless tires over the years. They never work on front tractor tires, there's always a piece of dirt that gets between the rim and tire to give you a flat and most tractor rims are bent a little. My lawn mowers, golf cart,JD 4440,skid loader and a few other things i own now have tube tires.

Tubeless is the only way I use them and have less problems. I run over a nail or screw I can pull it, plug it and keep rolling. Very simple.

The majority of 600-16 3 rib tires are tubetype. I have seen a few that are tubeless but most of the old wheels need a tube anyhow. As the front tires get bigger then there are more of them are tubeless. Your dealer well might have meant that he didn't know of any 600-16 tires that are tubeless.

$150 for two 600-16 Titans would be a good deal. Not a great deal but a good deal. I think I get around $85 for them.
