OT(sorta) Storing a trailer for the winter

I have a light duty trailer that I will not be using in the winter months. I am planning on storing it in the yard and will be on a grass surface. Is there anything I can do to prevent my tires and wiring from rotting out throughout the long winter months? The tires on it are only a snowmobile trailer style and I don"t think that will hold up as well as a 8 or 10 ply equipment trailer tire. Thanks for all the ideas.

I have 3 trailers, a Triton 16FT tandem, a Pequa 16ft tandem and a Master Tow small trailer. I leave them out all winter long here in Eastern New York, out on the grass. Every spring I never have any problems. One important thing IF YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR TRAILER AFTER SNOW FALL, IN THE SALT, WASH IT FIRST BEFORE PARKING IT. Belive me it helps. JAYinNY

If you're worried about tire exposure, put the trailer on blocks and put tires inside for the winter. Cool dry basement would be ideal.
