Cub Cadet 127

Here I got this one covered.

Cub Cadet 127 replaced the 125 in 08/1969 and ran till 08/1971. Serial #'s ranged from 30,7000 to 40,0000

Your serial number should be on a metal plate attached to the left side of rear on the difrential

25,485 units were built

I'm having a little trouble understanding the list on IH Registery . The number on the axle plate of this one is 2050038u395752 . It is a International Cub Cadet 127 Hydrostatic , at least that's what it says on the hood. The motor sticker says - Kohler 12 hp ( and someone wrote the 12 in with a marker ), spec number 4752244, and ser. number is 1808100731 . I have no idea if this is the original motor or not ,but it is an old Kohler engine. It mounts like a side shaft except the crank end of the motor faces the front ( hood grill ) of the mower and it has an electric clutch for the blades. The other side of the motor has a drive shaft comming out of the top shield cover ( flywheel ) that runs the back axel. It also has the starter / generator combo. While I don't know the throughness of the restoration as in internal work but the motor and rear axle work like new and it has a like new paint job ( recent anyway ) but there is some minor nicks in the paint. It comes with a grader blade and a big ( 52 " ? ) mower deck, which also appears to have been painted .There are three blades on it . What is this mower worth ? Is it a sought after model ? Thanks for all and any help .

This is where I got my info from too IH reg.

Just go back over there and ask. We don't bite.

The 127 number stands for 12 hp and the odd number 7 is hydro trans.

All IH built Cubs were identified as odd last numbers Hydros. and even were gear drives

someone may have changed out the rear end

Hello Whizkidkyus
Your model is a 127, this tractor was built between 08/1969 and 08/1971. As stated before, the 12 stands for 12HP and the 7 stands for hydrostat. This tractor is what is called a Narrow Frame. I would say in the condition of your tractor that the price is probably arround $400-600 and the grader blade is worth approx $150. Other options might increase the price such as a rear lift or Brinly adapter. These prices are also subjective on how the mechanics are. This is a desireable tractor, just like all of the actual IH Cubs are. These tractors were built to last, and last they do. I have two 100's and they are exceptional machines.
