Have JD 70 all fuel with cracked head and block.Block might be repairable but head probably not.Collector value doesnt seem to be there so was thinking about a puller since it has bigger pistons than the gas Need ideas on how to modify on a budget.

There probably is some collector value there since its an all fuel tractor.

A 70 gas head WILL NOT bolt to your all fuel block. I'm pretty sure a G head will bolt to your block(you will have to get oil to the rocker arms somehow), and that will put you back to a 1bbl carburetor. So at that point from a compeition standpoint, all you have is a really heavy G. Or you could bolt in a gas block and head, but you lose 1/4" bore and the block is 1.375" shorter, so you would need pushrods from a gas tractor as well.

I would have the head looked at by a professional to see if it can be repaired....it can be a hot commody in the tractor pulling marketplace.

Keep the large bore 70AF cylinders and unique 70AF head. They are rare and they work well together. Don't let one of the few 70AF's remaining get hacked up.
