Horrible Accident at FFA Convention!!!

My heart goes out to the family! A 16 year old from Booker, TX. Phillip Caler. Fell 41 feet from a 3rd story railingdown to the 1st floor inside the downtown Indianapolis "Circle Center Mall" Thursday afternoon. He was hospitalized with blunt force trauma in Methodist Hospital in Indy. His parents had to make the trip from Texas last night to face one of a parents worst nightmares. According to local news the next 72 hours are the most critical for this boy! My prayers go out; although I dont know who any of the family are. I was at the mall; but left about 45 minutes before this happened. Just thought I'd share it.

Doggone,there's just something about those FFA conventions. The neighbor kid and I were the delegates from our chapter to the state convention back in 1972. We were coming home and somebody pulled out to pass and nearly hit us headon. I took the ditch and went through the fence in front of the Ionia County Airport. We weren't hurt,thank God,but it didn't do my 67 Nova any good.

My thoughts are with that boys family.
 
Praying for the 16 year old. My cousins boy fell 40 feet 10 years ago and spectators swear he hit the ground and actually bounced. He is doing fair now considering that and he worked until recently when arthritis started in. Dave
 
We were in the same facility later in the evening. That is a sad situation.
I took two different groups on Thursday and Friday since we are here in Indiana about 2 hours from Indy. My kids all had a a blast and came back with a lot of new ideas for their chapter and their SAE projects.
