farmall m carb float

What is the correct float adjustment on a farmall m carb. The carb is a e-12 or e-13. The carb drips after the tractor and the gas is shut off.

float level is 1 5/16 but your problem is most likly the needle and seat. or could be a damaged float.check the pivot pin also for wear.these are the things to look for.

Float could have gas inside it.

I worked in an Allis Chalmers dealer shop amd we repaired many makes without the information of float height. We always set unknown carbs with the float paralell with the top part of the body. It always worked and I still use this method.

Thanks for the info I will check into a rebuild kit to replace some of the parts.
