O/T Asian Beetles

You talking about those fake ladybugs? Yesterday was the "majic" day for them. Didn't have any all summer. I work nights and when I got up in the afternoon the outside of house was coated with them. Screens were covered. As matter of fact the whole yard had that smell. Must've been the day to hatch or something.

They crawl up the kitchen wall to get at the light that's right over my seat at the table, then they drop in my hair. GRR.

Yesterday I got to thinking about why we have so many beetles after we've sprayed our bean fields to kill all the bugs. Shouldn't the spray kill the beetles too besides the aphids? Fly spray skills them and it's a pyrethroid, pretty much the same stuff we spray the bean fields with.Jim

Buy some Tempo Ultra, a powder you mix with water and spray. I've have windrows of dead ones around my buildings. Has a good residual that stays on surfaces that keeps killing. Doesn't leave any stains or marks. Have been using it for 3-4 years. Bought mine on line from do-it-yourself pest control. Even takes care of the box elder bugs.

Hey guys. Guess where they came from? D.N>R.airlifted em up here so the farmers wouldn"t loose crops from aphids destruction. What everyone on this post has, WE HAD. Now there is a product called KRONK or SEVIN. Finishes of these stinking, biting, anoying little BAS **rds. Son said it"s easier to get rid of the cr*bs then it is to eliminate these stinkin .biting @#$%^&. .Some nestle in the bark of the fire wood thats brought in the basement,or they find a home in your attic.
The last resort is a FLAMETHROWER .We even vacumed em up to send back to the D.N.R.
Set em all on fire in the drive by the hundreds.
Mail wouldn"t deliver em back. LOU

They were swarming in NWMO a couple of days ago too. I don't know a lot about them, but I am beginning to wonder if they don't migrate to some extent? Doesn't make sense to me, but where else would they be coming from?

A biologist friend says, they do indeed feast
on aphids in soybeans, and when beans are harvested they swarm. Monday was a beautiful day
here in Western Wisconsin, lots of combines in the
fields, swarms of beatles!
