Well I pulled the head off of that Isuzu pup engine today and yep as you guys said it had a blown head gasket between #1 and #2 guess that is also why it seemed down on power. I will be taking it in to have the head plained flat and I hope this is the last time I have to replace a head gasket for at least a good number if miles instead of about 3000 miles

I took a head in to the machine shop today for dad. 350 chevy blown gasket between #3 & #5. Guy did a quick check for a crack and told me that it's pretty much a waste of time to put it back together without resurfacing it since it blew the gasket.

Old,
as has been said in your earlier post, You need to regularly go back and re-torque the headbolts. I found that they will go a lot longer that way.

Old...check the block too...every jap engine i've worked on needed deck planed too...something about the steel they use...if head warps...block does too.

I might do that if I was going to rebuild the engine but the old truck just isn't worth that. It does have a cast iron block and an Aluminum head so the head will warp before thew block ever would

You will always have head gasket problem when you have two different metals. The aluminum expands more than the cast iron. The head MOVES around on the head deck as the engine heats and cools. The 3.8 V-6 Ford has the same problems. You also can not re torque the head Willy-Nelly as many engines have Torque To Yield head bolts. If you try to re-torque them, THEY WILL BREAK.

Well you for sure want to run a tap in the threads and make sure the bolt holes are cleaned out. Then you want to check and see if the bolts bottom out before they get tight. It doesnt hurt to use a Rolox disc in a die grinder to clean the surface of the block down to shiny metal or a wire brush on a grinder and look for a gouged place where the head gasket blew.Might need some JB Weld if there is a gouged place.Might also look for another motor at a junk yard somewhere.
