There is a bill being introduced in the house -- HR 615, that would make it MANDATORY that Senators and Congressmen have to enroll in whatever healthcare plan they wind up passing for the rest of us. Senators and Congressmen are currently EXEMPT from any legislation that may pass. Anyone interested can go to http://fleming.house.gov/index.html to vote ''yes'' or ''no'' and maybe help force our elected representatives to live by the same rules they impose on the rest of us.
 
You are looking at nothing more than window dressing, That will NEVER happen. They are NOT going to subject themselves to the trials and tribulations of the lower class way of life. They are the 'Elites', they are special,(At least in their own minds). They are not going to be held to the health standards that we, the serfs are going to have to put up with. Are you a little heavy? Smoke? Engage in any unhealthy life style choices? You are going to pay a higher healthcare primium than your more "Fit" neighbor. You will pay more until you meet their 'Standards'. They are going to regulate/control us like cattle.

That's kind of the way it works now, if you have ever bought your own insurance you would know that the better care you take of yourself the less it costs, health or life. The big insurance companies keep about half of your money just for doing the paperwork!
 
Also, the younger you are, the cheaper the cost...and the older you get, the higher the cost. As the population ages, the premiums go up.

That site to "vote" on the issue has been up for months...and if Congress hasn't acted on it by now, you may as well consider it dead.
 
It ain't over till its over. One reason the leftists have nearly taken over the USA is because the WORKING TAXPAYING PUBLIC lacks the free time to attend meetings etc. and has largely given up attempting to make their voice's heard. Maybe there is nothing left to do but come next fall I plan to go to every reelection rally my congressman holds in our district be one of the loudest PITAS he has ever seen -- demanding to know what he did to try and stop the freight train that is barreling over our freedoms at the present time.
