Just wondering if theres anyway to tell, without opening, if a post has photos in it??

If you don't want to download the pic's because of slow connection. In the up right side beside were it says modern view is options. You can hide images

select the Hide Images

On slow speed circuits, images can take much longer to see the post. If you are less interested in photos and primarily interested in the text of posts, this option will cause photos not to display until you've read the post and choose to display them.
