I'm looking for imformation on A ih i6 I beleve its the same as a W6 but the industrial end does any one have one or where do I look thanks

Correct. The I6 is the industrial version of the W6. Both tractors use the same engine and basic power train as the Farmall M. The industrials were offered with several options that were not available on the W series, so you almost need the parts catalogs for all three tractors in order to narrow down the differences.

Try..JENSALES.. at www.external_link They have
thousands of manuals, from lawnmowers to Earth
Movers, reproductions and originals. Once in
there site you may have to poke around a bit.
I purchased both reprints and original from them
and have been very satisfied with the quality.
Average price for a parts or Service book was $25

I would like to know how rare are they? I actually have one its rough and trying to figure out if its worth it.Did they come yellow? thanks for your reply Tim

I have no idea how many were built. I found one and it was supposedly bought new by his uncle around WW2 ending and they took it because they needed a tractor so badly. He said he was a little boy when they got it but had always remembered it being red. I thought i had found a gold mine as i had never seen one and it is a neat little tractor. Then 6 months later in the next county over i found another one that was for sale advertised as 2 W-6's. One was another I-6 and i bought them both. This one was red but does have yellow uderneath. the first one i have never taken anything apart on yet,it is stuck but the 2nd one i use pretty regularly. i have never taken one to a show to find out much. Both have the 24" split rims and the foot throttles and will make a neat show tractor I beleive, just always 15 projects away!
