I was visiting a cousin today, she is a widow and trying to keep up the family farm and she wanted my opinion on what to do with the wagonshed, it needs repaired or torn down. Well, before someone can do either it needs CLEANED OUT. While looking over the mostly junk but a few items worth saving I saw what she said her Dad used to weigh cows on, you could see the balance arm inside, it resembled truck scales, and outside under a lean-to roof there was a wood platform on large iron beams. No idea of how old it is. I may be helping to clean the shed out this fall and have no idea if this item is "old iron for an antique machinery buff" or if it should go on the scrap pile. Sorry for not more of a description or photos but couldn't see much anyhow. Any thoughts?
