factory 2.pt on 240U

I have 3pt hitch and can not figure it out.What holds the latch down( for drawbar etc.) Parts book indicate that all parts are there and nothing appears damaged. No one in our club has any experence as this was not a popular tractor dowm here. I have factory books and manuals--just shows little I know. Help or insight appreciated.

I was at Subic Bay PI 15 months after boot camp in 1953. Then Davisville RI for training for Antartica where wintered over before going to South Pole in Nov. 1956 . MCB 9, MCB 11, MCB special,RNMCB 14 until retired with 32 Yrs.
