did you get clutch fixed plan on seeing you this week but thought better to wait on clutch as I might have to get under the buss
 
Its NOT fixed but we may work on it Monday or Tuesday n then were giving up, he goes to Florida in a few weeks and needs to get a real mechanic to fix it then lol

John, Look for lost motion in the linkages and pivots. Block the movement at the pivot fork and see what flexes in the rods and linkage (my bet on the problem. JimN
 
We pretty well have alllllllll the slop n wear in that 30 feet of rods n pins n pivots n linkages taken up,,,,,,,,I been on the Bus Forums real heavy n it seems like allllllllllll those aged circa 1960 4104 GM with Spicers do the same regardless if like everything was replaced ITS THE NATURE OF THE BEAST to some extent which is why they were replaced with CLURCH/TRANNY BRAKES in the next bus series. After we re adjust fingers back to factorY n take up slack WERE QUITTING...... They say to put it it 4th first to act as a brake to stop tranny spin then put in first AND LIVE WITH IT. Its just NOT a seat of the pants shadetree operation me n my 80 yo buddy can fix I reckon. As Dirty Harry Callahan said "A mans got to know his limitations"
