Made it out to the Palmer Fossum auction today. It was a muddy mess, but it was fun to see all the rare and unique stuff all in one spot. The prices were sky high for anything rare. The common tractors were resonably priced.
The 3 bottom disc plow shown in the picture brought $1750.
The 6 Cyl Funks brought about $10,000.
The V8 Funk was $26,000
All the 1, 2, and 3 bottoms plows were $450 and up. Some looked like they were never used.

The auctioneer said there was 38 states represented, all canadian provinces and a bunch of foreign countries.

Anyone else attend? What did you think?

There seems to be plenty of money for this type of thing. Collectibles in general. These were certainly authentic.

The flat head Funk sixes were down in $4k territory. The Funk V8 pictured was my dad's from 1967 to 1996 when Palmer bought it. Dad payed $80.00 yep eighty dollars for it. Palmer offered him $10k and bought it. I started the bids at $10k knowing I was pretty safe without any money. I thought my buddy was ready to go up to 30k and hoped to bring it back to WI. Didn't happen. It really sold for 25k and is going to IL. My dad passed away July first and I'm sure he and Palmer were looking down at the auction and chuckling.

Thanks all, for making the trek to the auction, in spite of the inclement weather. You friends are the best : ) (Pix forthcoming)

Go down to the dock and wait for them. Bidding went to $10k on choice. Buyer took both and they are going back over the pond.
