This site must have pulled the plug on New chick in town. Won't allow my response to dave 2 go through. Just a blamk screen. I posted nothing obscene or profane. Likes the posts though. LOU

Must be another form of censorship. site owner must dislike humor.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Guess I'll never know why. LOU

checked the website...it is/was commercial online dating site. Does NOT belong here. Enough questionable (read that as political) stuff gets by as it is in my humble opinion.

It's a control thing Lou. Don't take it personal. This is a great site and I appreciate the folks that run it, but sometimes they get a little bigheaded....
I'm trying to figure out a pattern to the poof monster......Sometimes he acts on his own and sometimes the gestapo tips him off. Gotta take the bitter with the sweet though...

There are 1000's of general interest discussion groups.

There is one good web site that discusses older farm equipment.

Why would a person want to wreck what is here, and turn it into another general intrest, politics, humor, blah blah site?

Why not keep things here in general associated with older farm equipment, or at least somewhat related to farm stuff?

Then we will have a good world. People who want to tell jokes & talk about blah blah will have the 1000's of discussion sites to do that.

And those who like talking about older tractors will still have their one place in the whole world to go to also.

It's not a control thing.

It's just common sense.

I've seen dozens of web sites that used to be good, be totally ruined with goofy chat & political 'discussions'. It is sad.

Go to 'www.farms.com' amd see if anything there in the chat/discussion area interests you at all?

That used to be an interesting, vibrant, good place to go that discussed goat raising, horse raising, farming, implement discussions.

The mods there changed it, and stopped moderating it.

It's just a wasteland now.

Please don't make this site as worthless as that.

Can't imagine that Lou is trying to ruin this site and I know I'm not. Lou made an observation and I offered a response. Sorry I didn't throw the word tractor in there for the narrow minded. Sorry if I screwed up your comfort zone..........

Hi Dave2. I"m with you on this subject. Sure this site has a lot of merrit and good advice. Wouldn"t want to ruin it, however, there is quite a bit of O/T thats of great Value!!!. Humor is a part of everyday life along with any problems, being tractors .equiptment etc.Pictures of tractors and any other subject is most welcomed by myself as well as others. I do read them all everyday and so does my Son.I am also aware that this site has principals that won"t allow Porn, Obscene language, commercial advertising etc. In my humble opinion humor is a great important part of life on the farm, shop, and everyday life. Talking with humor doesn"t deminish this or any other web Site Just my humble opinion and I"ve lived long enough to give my opinion, welcomed or not. The best advice I was given years ago went something like this" tis best to remain silent and have people suspect that your a fool, rather then open your mouth and remove all doubt". Any way I LOVE HUMOR.

You said it quite well Paul. The boss lets us ask quick question about cars, trucks, computers etc cause the people here are so knowledgeable and it is answered fast and done with. A joke once in a while if reasonably clean. but the other stuff just goes on and on.
I use to go to several sites on miney laths, milling machines, model making etc. NO MORE-they got killed with ads for dirty pictures , spam etc.
Bosses, and they are the boss, do a good job.

I love humor too, but it gets me in trouble more often than not. To some, humor is a difficult concept.

Dave you have to consider that the poof monster is not a "he" it is a "she".

If you can figure that gender out you are better than most of the posters here.
GOOD LUCK....

I"m glad this site takes on many subjects and doesn"t omit the posters to just one subject.Knowledge is a wonderfull thing to have and share. however saying that, knowledge with humor makes one look closer to the problems that are talked about other wise the subjects discussed become redundant, rhetorical and some what boring. There is humor even in adversity. I read 99/0 of the posts and enjoy em tremendously.
Posters such as Old Roy, Dave, and others high light daily subjects that are of interest to me and I"m assuming others as well. Pictures shared is another great experience for me,lets me know that there are others that truly care about their projects that are on going or completed.
Problems of a mechanical nature is of great value to me as well.Lots of great advice on solving said problems, and I"ve noticed ,more times than not, there is humor involved with the awnsers. So you see, there is absolutely no reason to omit humor in any of the posts unless
it contains filthly language,etc.
Like I said, It"s my experience from living 74+
years on Gods green earth. I"Don"t offer any regret on my part for enjoying humor and those who post same. I will leave it all up to the posters here on this site ,if any one thinks I have offended this site, then please respond and
I will no longer post here.
