Hi on my fordson super major i have a blade and it seems to lift slow making it hard to grade a road etc , is this normal for the tractor as i havnt had a super major before, the oil on the dipstick located on gearbox seems to be at the right level but not sure how old the oil is and same with tranny oil, should i drain and replace both tranny and gearbox, also can someone tell me how many gallons to put in tranny and gearbox ( i am in australia so imperial galls for me or litres). One other question is regarding the oil bath for the aircleaner how often should i change that... thanks for a great forum...

Hello from up North, WA state. I'm not an expert but most of the mechanics I have spoken with have recommended changing all fluids and filters, before startig with a newly acquired machine.

Never owned a fordson, only Farmall M, and JD 4020. I believe you Can find your capacities on "external_link".

Hopefully, someone more knowledgeable than me can specifically address your hydraulic question. Good Luck with your tractor.
Matt
