Screw Splitter tip

what tip do you need the cutting or the flat push? Mine overheats the screw and locks down after I use it for a hour or less. it is faster than a hydro one but the hydro wouldn't overheat.

maybe I dont know how to properly use it but that style of splitter has always scared the s**t out of me. I know everything has some danger to it but I like my hydraulic one.

I put a kill switch (cable wire to the diesel kill knob) and it stops right now. But, I agree they are one of the most dangerous things out there...

Mine is 28 yrs old and has split hundreds of cords.

Yet, I need to find a new near new tip. Would cost me close to $5oo to have one tooled...

I need the tip screw section as the rest of the cone is fine... My splitter was made by Wood Buster company. no longer in business

They did still make them for a car axle but they were the wrong thread direction for a pto driven one.
I never had any problems with it but went to hydraulic before the wife killed herself.

I have a totally different machine mine is built like the pull behind log splitter and uses a screw in place of the hyd. ram sorry for the misunderstanding I would like to see a pic. of yours so I might know what we are talking about

Is the one pictured here what you need?? That fellow said he"d like to sell his...
