radiator sealer?

as in a stop-leak? Just prolonging the agony/creating more problems. Take it to a reputable radiator shop and get it properly repaired.

Have the radiator repaired, fill with 50/50 green antifreeze and distilled water, and put in anti-cavitation additive. Stop leak products just cause problems and add to repair bills down the road. Tom

I have used Bar's Leak with pretty good results and I used metallic liquid glass once to plug a small head gasket leak in a motor that wasn't worth tearing into. It lasted a long time with no trouble.

Best rad sealer is a new rad.
The quick, cheap and easy "fix in a bottle". Is only good enough to get the vehicle home or complete the planting/harvest.

A small rock (I think) flew up and hit the fan which propelled it thru a rad side tank causing a 3/4" hole. To get the car home I dumped in 2 or 3 bottles of Bars Leak in desparation. To my amazement it totally sealed the hole. Once home, I took the rad in and had the hole repaired. Problem was, when I started the engine, rad stayed cold and engine got so hot it started making a ticking noise and 10 year old layers of grease were melting off the sides of the engine. Thermostat was totally plugged with Bars Leak. Cleaned it out and put another 100K on engine, ticking all the way. Still laugh about it.
