I think other years he has gone north into the bush this time of year to hunt moose, although it seems a tad early for that. Other possibility, ...the place he works (Bruce Nuclear Power Co,) fired over 100 workers about 3 weeks ago for using company time for personal computer uses. A lot of people w/25 plus years were severed. Don't know if he was one of them, but even if not, it would tend to make a fellow think twice about computer use at work. A lot of the guys fired were supposedly engineers and such...high paying jobs. Apparently the company warned everyone once and then cleaned house.
 
Oh great!! A nuclear power plant without B&D. Now we have to worry about a meltdown.
 
Man that would make it tuff finding a new job in another nuke plant.

And they stated power consumption was down so they canceled building two new nuke plants.

It seems to me that he was a union employee at the plant, not a contractor... The story I read stated that they only barred certain contractors employees from entering the site. Nobody was actually fired.... just not allowed on site.
All the same, I'd imagine if they were cracking down on their contractors related to the plant upgrade, no doubt the union employess on the operational side got a good reaming too...
