Roosa Master Inj. Pump

I have removed diesel injection pump from 1960 Ford 861-D (after ensuring #1 cyl. @ TDC). I need to replace 2 seals that I've purchased that will keep [another 5 gallons of] diesel from getting pumped into crankcase. Anyone know how to get the shaft out of the pump? Pump is DBGVCC-429. I will have access to Ford Manual with procedure, soon, but no good exploded view.

The shaft pulls right out. Take a look at the brass bushing where the seals fit. It is very common for the bushing to be grooved and in need of being replaced. In that case, the pump will have to be dismantled and the bushing pushed out from the other end. The new bushing is epoxied in place.

I was able to fabricate a tool to extract that bushing without disassembly of pump. Made it with a flange nut and some all thread. New bushing must be glued in. J-B Weld will work.
