My 750 with 354 perkins used to start so fast you hardly had time to get your hand off the key. Now I have to crank and crank for about 30 seconds before it starts. I changed the fuel filters but that did not help. I found a fitting on fuel line by fuel lift pump that was a little loose that may have left it suck air but after I tightened it, was no better. Do you think it is the fuel pump or I have a sneeking suspision it may be the electric fuel shut off. Can that be it?

Been a long time since I worked on a 750. There is two oil pressure sender that must be working. The one with two wires gave the most trouble. Lift pump maybe gong bad.

Also drain the tank and clean out the bottom of the tank and the screen on the outlet The one 750 that i bought and sold to a buddy was hard starting and and then it would just shut down in the field . I found about 4 inches of soybean dust in the bottom of that tank and once cleaned all was well . Then my massey 410 started the same thing and it was a gasser and here again it was bean dust that pluged the outlet screen . You can put a fuel presure gauge on the outlet of the lift pump and see what you have for pressure and how fast it builds pressure once the key is turned on and it should be around 5-7 lbs.
