Thanks to everyone that worked on and displayed at the Atkinson, Illinois show!
First time there but well worth the 2 hour drive - of corse Oliver was the featured tractor!
Lot of field work with pickers, combines, plows, steam emgines, etc.
I saw "oldbue" with the flat tire on the shuttle and Terry A. But never did catch up up Super 99 (did see his Oliver picker/sheller go through a few rounds though! Sorry Chris, left your mumber at home and the girls were gone to a horse show.

Sorry I missed you! It's been a great show so far, I was told we had 74 Olivers this morning. I've been so busy I have barely got to run my 73-S picker-sheller, but I did get to plow some this afternoon with my grandson riding along. I did get some blueberry ice cream today, it was great! You will have to come to our show next year, we will be at the new showgrounds north of Geneseo. Chris

Chris - That was your Oliver picker/sheller running wasn't it? Looked good!
oldbue (Jim)ever get that tire remounted?
Very nice show.

Jim

Yes that was mine. Jim brought the tires up and I had them mounted locally. It's a good running little outfit. We were so close and yet missed each other. Jim stopped with a flat tire, and I went over and got one of the field hands to get him some help and then I went out and tried to plow till a little after 2 and then went over and borrowed my picker back from Kevin Larkey and ran it till 3 or so. I went by Jim when they were changing his tire, so we just missed each other. Kevin was picking 2 rows and said he got along fine, so I tried it and when I got to the end to let it clean out, it was overloaded and ran a big pile of corn out so I went to picking 1 row and got along OK. I might put my 1850 on it today, it should have a slower 1st gear( everyone is supposed to pick in low gear). Again, Sorry I missed you. Chris

I was up there yesterday too. It is a good little show. I really liked the old Rumley on the thresher. What a bear it would have been to run one of them all day. Daughter really liked the shelled corn play pit.

We stopped east of Kewanee and picked red raspberries. Gosh those are good berries well worth the trip.

That was a nice show, glad I took my 77 up and was able to dyno it. It even surprised me with 41 hp.

Well worth the 3 hr trip up!!

Yep, that's the outfit I saw following the regular and mounted pickers - must of been Kevin running it cause it didn't "look" like you from your pictures! What were you plowing with? When I was out there it was a JD 730 propane, IH 400, MM and Cat before heading back to finish up looking. Couple of hours took their toal on my knees - should have just ridden with oldblue!

You get rain today? We had quite a bit from noon till 3 +/- in Peoria and then the sun came out. Once again, very nice show - just wish I'd remembered to grab your number!
