Ever feel like you were handicapped while trying to do something? This Is my "Bandit" 3 year old Shih-Tzu he has stolen all our hearts.

He did try to smell Wriggly. I had to laugh at him.

This is a real stretch on Pets and computers, but we bring you one of our pets via a computer.

This is a "before" photo of Mattie a Pit Bull cross that Nancy rescued from starvation.

Amazing what a lot of food and a lot of love can do!

That's fantastic That was almost hopeless looking creature turned around big time !!

At least now she knows what a real human should be trained like .

Mine has me trained pretty good.

Charlie looks like he could be a bit devilish at times.

Had one similar to him and whoever left the house last , he wanted to chew something of theirs to get even.

~~~LOL No ,but he sometimes steps on space bar when he thinks I;m not typing fast enough.
This was taken on one of my late night episodes. every one as in bed but me . He thought it was my turn to go. He usually pesters til I do.
Like I said above we are almost trained. The easiest part was the house breaking.~~~LOL
He is also very verbal with all kinds of barks and different whimpers. He can say "MOM" When not distracted.
Gotta disagree with you on that.
James' dog looks like she was neglected rather than abused, in the right situation and care these are very docile animals.
I know I said the same thing when my Son got one having a grandson of two years old at the time.
Never did he try to hurt the Baby in fact if he cried the dog would whimper and lay down beside him with head on front paws.
He could pull his ears and every thing. The dog would lick his face. I alwsys said as a joke that he was tasting him.
Mattie almost didn't make it. Right after I got her home, I gave her a very small (less than 1/8 cup) amount of dry dog food. She ate it and started to throw up. I knew if she didn't keep it down her chances of survival would be virtually nil, but she did keep it down.
Since she was covered with fleas, the next step was a good bath. Then I put her in one of the stalls at the barn.
Over the next several days, I fed her very small amounts but with increasing frequency. Then I gradually increased the amount of food I gave her until I was able to leave a bowl full of food in with her (about a 4 to 5 week process).
I brought one of the doghouses in from the house and put it in the stall where I was keeping her, then got an arm full of hay for bedding. As I put the hay in the doghouse, she pushed by me and went in. She sat there looking very pleased with her tail thumping the ground.
When she was healthy enough, it was a trip to the vet. (lots of $$$) She was spayed and treated for heartworms.
Since she was a pit, I was concerned about putting her in with our other two dogs. To start this, I would put her on a leash and walk her outside the fence. I would let Mattie and the other dogs sniff, etc, through the fence then I would put Mattie back in her stall in the barn. I finally brought her in the yard and released her. There were a few growls, but that worked itself out without escalating.
The vet techs love her as do we. One of the vet techs told me if Mattie ever needed a home to be sure and call her.
Anyone who uses the computer at our house ends up with a cat in their lap, which forces you to sit farther away from the keyboard than is comfortable. Kahless and Chancellor Gorkon are the usual suspects.
Son had a pet rabbit that we let run around the house from time to time (he was "potty trained", never had an accident on the carpet). You just had to be sure and keep him away from the computer and phone wires- he'd cut them into several pieces in a heartbeat.
I'll side with Case on this one.
My neighbors had a couple Pits, male & female. Husband lost his job by selling drugs and got locked up. Wife couldn't afford too feed the kids much less the dogs.
The female started coming too our house too eat. No problem with that as I was glad we could help. Very, very friendly dog.
Then the male started showing up. Same thing would eat a meal then go home again being extremely friendly.
THEN one day both dogs showed up, after 6mths of our feeding them, ate there dinner then proceeded to kill the dog next door.
The female grabbed the dog by the hind foot, the male Pit grabbed the dog by the throat. They then stretched the dog while shaking there head and that was the end of that dog.
My wife said she yelled and screamed at the pits but it did no good.
From that I changed my mind that meanness is bred into a animal and not a learned trait. I think zoo animal attacks on humans will confirm this.
