NH 256 rake arm

HalleluYah!

How the heck do you reinstall a rake arm on a NH 256?

The arm flew off when a bearing failed, I got the bearing assembly replaced, but it seems that there must be a trick to get it back on.

Do you have to take all the arms off of one of the wheels, and put the wheel on the arms rather then the arm on the wheel?

I will be interested in the answer, I have the exact same rake and problem right now. I cannot believe it is too difficult.

Simple, Loosen the spider (wheel like thing) from the hub. Then the bar will go back on. You may have to take a couple of the bolts all of the way out.

YOU have to loosen all 5 bars on the wheel spider and twist and pry till you get it ,they all need to be real loose to alow it to line up
