Case brush hog part

Hello, I posted this already but can't find it now, so here it goes again.
I have an old Case brush hog, it leakes oil out the bottom of the gearbox. The part that holds the oil seal has split. I brought it to 2 people to have it welded, no can do. Does anybody know where to get this part or what it is called? I don't have any numbers on the old Case anymore, just that it's a 5' Case brush hog. The part goes just under the blades and is formed to have the seal fit in it. Anyone have any ideas?

It is probably a model "66". made from the late '40s through the '50s. Doubtful that Case would still have parts, but you might want to check their parts website. If it only retains the seal, a machine shop could likely turn one out for you. If it holds the bearing as well, it becomes more difficult, but still possible. Good luck!!

Can you patch the crack? We have rear boxes at work that have been patched with PIG PUTTY. It has lasted years and you can machine it drill it and paint it.

It's split in half. I couldn't get it welded or repaired. It looks like I need a replacement part. Thank you for the reply, every one seems to get you a closer to getting you back in the field.

Great info! Thank you! It looks like it holds the seal but it also is formed on top to fit just right, that's where the problem of welding it or repairing it comes in. It split completly in half. A machine shop is a smart place to try. Thanks for your help! -Jay
