Ideas on what im describing??

Yesterday on my way to a wedding i was taking some county roads instead of the interstate and came across a threshing show near Pine City Mn. It looked interesting so i figured id stop in today on my way home. I had no camera so i will describe the best i can from memory, hopefully someone will know what it was.
It was a Mccormick Deering pull type corn combine, it had a one row head, the shelling unit sat crosswise behind the head and it used a "grain leg" style elevator to move the corn into the bin. The elevator made a large loop and as the bin got full in the back the buckets would push the corn forward to the front. To dump, it looked like the whole side of the bin was hinged on the bottom and the side would fall over to dump into a wagon.
I looked it over real good cause i had never seen anything like it. Wish i had taken a camera. Anybody got a guess what it might be?? I figured it to be from the 20,s or 30's.

Picker, not combine and what you are refering to as sheller was husking bed, no shelled corn, ear corn up that elevator and early ones were ground drive with a big wheel simular to a tractor rear steel wheel with lugs. Later ones were PTO driven. And yes 20's to early 30's

I was at a show near Shelby Iowa yesterday, had something similar. It caught my eye because Dad says they used to have one like it, so took a picture. Is this what you saw? Greg

Wonder how often you'd have to dump that bin in 200 bu corn? :) That would be built when 40 bu open pollinated corn would be a real record yield....

Yes, that was exactly what i saw, very neat. Thanks for the photo, i googled it and tried to find a pic but never could. Anybody know a model number in it?
