8n?

a guy has what hes calling an 8n but it looks different. it says custom on the side on a chrome emblem. says its a 57 but 8ns wernt made that late i believe. so whats this tractor?

A lot more info an or a picture would help. From what you have said it could be a good number of tractors or a blend of more then one.
8N has a flat head engine, 4 speed tranny and of course your right that they where not made in 1957 last year was 1952

I'm quite familiar with older Fords,don't recall"any"chrome side emblems on any of the gray Fords.As to"Custom" emblem,I suspect it was transplanted from a car/truck as Ford,to best of my knowledge never made a "Custom" tractor.If it's a 57 it should have the bullet nose hood with chrome Series emblem in front.Might be an "800" series of some sort...??

Someone probably put an old Ford Custom emblem from a pickup on it thinking it looked cool.
