Hercules engine on Welder

Can anyone on this site please steer me the right direction to locate engine parts for my old Hercules 6 cyc. engine mounted to an old 400 amp welder. Need some parts and looking for a source to get repairs. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you.
 
I can get just about any Hercules engine part that is still available, and some that aren"t. I would need to know the model of your engine. It should be on a plate attached to the engine, if it is still there. My email is open. I would be glad to try to help you out.
 
Just Google "Hercules Engine" or "Hercules Engine
Parts", and you should get lots of answer. Also
search on this Forum, as the subject comes up
from time to time, and good sources have been
given. Have you tried NAPA? They should have
gasket sets, Ignition parts are still available
from NAPA by the brand of the Distributor.
Any Starter/Generator shop can do whatever you
have.
 
As greygoat said, lots of Herc gas parts are available if it's one of their relatively more popular engine lines; as with any engine, if it's a low production model it could be more difficult.
There are obsolete engine parts suppliers that can be named if what you need isn't available locally and/or your available parts stores won't/can't special order.
If you've already tried local sources, and they say NLA, post what parts you need.
"Repairs"...what kind that can't be done locally?? If they can be done locally, and you're looking for local recommendations, where are you??
 
Fellow named Jim Klotz is part owner of the Hercules engine component company should be able to fix you up.He's a Cockshutt collector so should be able to get ahold of hime on the International Cockshutt Club website
