Farmall cub losing hydro fluid

Picked up a 1951? Cub, noticed the last owner had over filled with engine oil and underfilled the hydro. Drained off the excess engine and topped off the hydro, 2 weeks later the hydro is dry (won't work) and the oil dipstick reads over full again. My guess the hydro pump is leaking into the crankcase, anyone ever heard of that? How hard a fix do you think that may be? Thanks for any help.
