OT People are nuts!

Saturday I went to the Minnesota state fair for a concert and to just see the sights. Had a great time and as I'm walking out a twenty something young lady comes out of nowhere and runs right into me from the side. This is not uncommon as there are so many people there. But what happened next really cracked me up. She drops her cheese curds on the ground from the collision, then she starts yelling at me "Dude you owe me 6 bucks for these cheese curds" I smiled and said I was minding my own business and you ran into me. Now her weinie boyfriend who obviously had plenty of beer decides to join in and yell at me. He's about 5 foot 6 and about 120, I'm 6 foot 2 and about 265, I smiled again and explained that she ran into me. He gets beligerant so I turned around, gave him the do you really want to go there look and he sobers up enough to back down. The whole thing reminded me of whats going on with this country now, where everyone is the victim and deserves something even when they are to blame. Have a good one everybody:>)

You sure got that right, and you will find them nuts on this forum from time to time, always pointing the finger at some one else.

Yeah, but your lucky you can stare them down. Us little guys have had to deal with this crap for years.

That's why the saying "Colt made all men equal" came about.

Should have fined her for littering!

Yes indeedy.

My lovin' wife has said on a number of occasions "Eliminating the draft was a HUGE mistake."

Not because the Armed Forces need the people, but because so many kids have such an over-developed sense of entitlement and have no experience with the concept of doing what has to be done, whether you like it or not.

We had the "draft" here on our farm! We were drafted into milking, scooping silage, hauling hay, running trotlines on the creek, raking hay, throwing out ear corn for the sows, and hunting squirrels. Some was work, some was fun.

Feller said one time that he saw a 3/4 inch long yellow hornet make a 1200 lbs. bull jump an 8 strand barb wire fence. Size doesn"t matter. It"s how you use what you got. Ron

Can't speak for the other branches of the service, but the Marine Corps is not a reform school for miscreants whose parents have abdicated their responsibility.

That being said, as a ten year veteran of the Marine Corps, I can't imagine going through life without an involvement with the military.

I'da fell down and started flopping or just holding my neck and asking for a medic.... That's after I reformed to today's ways. Before I guess I'da whipped BF's butt and made him pick her slop up and apologize to the crowd for the distraction.

But that's just me.......

I still remember SSG Baker telling me where he was gonna stick my M-14 and how far he was gonna stick it; don't think it coulda been done, but I took his word for it.

That could have had a hilarious outcome if drunk boyfriend had pushed it. Most public family venues such as a fair take and very bad view of public drunkedness. The cops can knock the chip off some hot head's shoulder pretty quick

Sorry boys but the Basic isn't what it used to be. 13 weeks with a TI or DI standing in your face cussing you with every breath, calling you Hillbillys, Qu##rs, Girls, is over "DON"T happen now". If it does their time in the service is over. When my son was if USAF a Captian was discharged because someone put a foke about a Hillbilly on his computer.
I don't know what would happen if they tried to punish someone now. Basic is just a indocternation now not like in the 50's when we went throuhg He#l for 13 weeks.

I have a electric wheel chair which son takes to the fairs so I can go. We had to put a flag on a stick and mount it to keep people from walking into me. It seemed it was always some young woman not watching where she was going or sending text message on the cell phone. They alway look at me like, "what are you doing here". Even though I am Old and crippled I have the same rights as they do.

People today are arrogant and uncouth.

My wife came out of the the post office one day to find a Hummer parked next to car-maybe 3" away from her drivers door.(You know how much parking space those ugly pieces of crap take) My wifes car is a Camaro and you cannot go in through the passenger door. Anyone who has ever been in a 1992-2002 can testify to that.

The wife goes back into the PO and asked who drove the Hummer to please move it so she can get into her car. There is about 20 people waiting in line and the woman who drove the Hummer said she would come out after she picked up her mail and she was about 15th in line.

The wife had to wait until this woman finished...the woman would not come out until she did her business.

a good friend of mine says we (meaning him and his brothers) got introduced to child abuse at an early age. his dad had an allis chalmers wd and and a minneapolis u standard.
he said dad could never understand why we were ready to put the tractors away and start chores.

You know Gene...

I'm only average height but I've always been wide. And I usually have a pretty good attitude.

But it took me the longest time before I realized my size also made a lot of punks respectful around me. Been very, very few times in my life I've felt someone could physically intimidate me.

You hit it right on the head. Unfortunately, being ultra-aggressive is encouraged through almost all of society, anymore. I have a run-in with an employee at a TSC the last several times I've been there and I think it is due to he is 6 inches taller. He thinks he can "take me" as though we were engaging in some bar fight and I have never given him any offense to take.
I hate to think of what a couple more decades of this behavior will do to society and how coarse it will be. Things are anything but perfect with a couple of my neighbors but I would hate to move to a more suburban setting.

I hear ya. I went to the MN state fair twice, and have no intentions of ever going again. Nothing but a huge crowd of people, most of whom are completely rude, and very little connected with agriculture anymore. Glad you gave dumb shmuck something to think about. Sure would have been nice to teach him a little more respect though. Can't do that these days or you are the one who goes to the crowbar hotel.

You Did Great !!!I hate these type off people, they are rude and dont give darn about nothing only them selfs. These people dont Think that You Will Remember Them Later. I NEVER FORGET THEM !you know payback can ?? A ????? !!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like Bush's staff, all writing books and everything is somebody else's fault.

We have them at the local (Benton) county fair as well. Little scub buck (boys), walking around with thier pants waist around thier knee's, cap turned sideways, strutting all toughlife, walking with a young gals pregnant pushing a stroller with a less than one year old in it already, mama puffing on a cig, t & A all hanging out. The boy's of course dont work so they have to ask thkier "babymama" for some cash, which we taxpayers donate. Geesh, these punks think that is acting like a man, crazy. Sure glad all young folk arent like that, sad thing is they are increasing in numbers every year, soon they will be the majority oif the voters.

I always get a laugh from the ones that suddenly find out. The real world dosen't give a cr@p about them. I can still recall Chief Kelly making me and another guy. Walk the fence at Great Lakes Navy training center.Looking for grass fires with three feet on snow on the ground.Never found any grass fires and never talked in line again.

I would pay the $6. Speaking as a 49 year old I think you guys are looking at this all wrong. Anytime a drunk 20 something year old girl crashes into me I am going to get the best of it. If the drunk beligerant boy friend does not like it and comes at me he is going down hard, real hard. That is the way this former Army Sargent, Navy Reserve Officer, Sheriff Dept. and current Firefighter sees it.

A well written, well documented (dates, times, etc.) letter to the manager with copies to the home office would probably put an end to his behavior.

I would give a thousand dollars to meet up with my old DI. He never messed with me, but I would knock him to the ground for what he did to others. I see a need for respect, but like anyone with some power, they think they rule the world. That was fourty years plus ago, and I still have a chip on my shoulder.

The DI's with all the (I'm bad), hey, look at me!! were more than welcome in our outfit over the pond. Seems the chip on their sholder could come off one way or another--or else they fell from under the chip. They had to learn what (real bad) meant. As I best recall most of them would wear ladies garments if need be to become a friend to all the squad.

Nahh !! I believe "tree farm" instigated the whole thing, caused the others to go bad.or maybe it was that "Irv" fella that runs the library.

you answer that question, address the answer to the board, WACK JOB. Can you not see that YOU are the one outside of the orbit?
