I am building a hitch for my pulling tractor, but I hear there are some guidlines, rules and regs for the hitches. Such as how high off the ground they can be, how long they are and things like that. If anyone knows the the dimensions that they have to be please let me know..Thanks, Adam

You need to check with the club or tractor pulls that you are gonna pull in.

The rules vary from town to town and club to club.

A puller from your area may be able to help.

Where you gonna pull?

the norm is 18 to 21 inches from the ground and 18 to 24 inches from the center of the rear axle.

Make your hitch adjustable, not all heights are the same, everywhere from 18 to 24 inches on the
height of drawbar and it cannot exceed certain distance from rear axle. You can read NAPTA rules at their web site. They usually have the most restricting rules so go by them and you should be okay.
