My WD-45 starts ,runs for a few minutes, then quits and won't restart. Acts like it runs out of fuel. It will restart after setting overnight. I noticed that when I empty the sediment bowl it does not refill. If I remove the sediment bowl and turn on the gas, the gas runs freely, but whne I reconnect the sediment bowl and tighten it, the fuue flow stops. Ieas?

Sounds like a restriction where the gas enters the carb. Also - the air in the line after being taken apart will restrict the flow of the gas into the sediment bowl - thats why it flows good out of the tank when open but doesn't after the sediment bowl is reinstalled.

Disconnect the line at the carb and open the valve. Should get a nice stream. If the line is free flowing, look at the inlet to the carb. I had a dead fly manage to make it all the way through the fuel line and block off the inlet to the carb once. Acted much the way you describe.

Neighbor had wasps in the tank, kind of half floating. They would get pulled into the line and stop things up. Let her sit & they would float out, then do it all over again. Good luck- joe

Had same trouble years ago. Plugged where the 90 degree elbow went into carburetor. Would run fine around yard and get to field where all my neighbors could see me and it wouldn't pull under load.

When you remove the sediment bowl, are you removing that screen also. Sometimes it sticks in place and it could be plugged. Try running the tractor without the screen in place once. Maybe let some gas flow and check it for any sediment before putting the bowl on screenless.
