Skid loaders/forklift

My neighbor has a loader that is kind of like a skid loader crossed with a forklift the four cyl. Ford motor is in front of you. Then it has a three speed tranny which runs to the front wheels with a drive shaft. The pump is mounted to the front of the crank. The back wheels are like a small outdoor forklift. It had a oval badge for the name but it is painted over. The serial number plate is scratched and unreadable. So i don't think it is homemade. I will see if I can get some pictures of it to better identify it.

What brand is it?

Can you post a picture? As I began reading your post, my first thought was the Balmar. But there is nothing small about the tires on them.

It sounds like a Willmar Brute, made in Willmar MN. Before they made skid steers. I have one it has a 172 Ford Industrial gas engine in it. They were used in fertlizer departments to load fertlizer. Willmar mft. co changed the name of it to Willmar Wrangler. They made it to steer in the middle & then sold the co. to Ford.
