Does any one have a good picture of a good people mover that you may use at your shows. We need to build one and everyone has different ideas. I need some ground to stand on so we can get started.
Any ideas and pictures will be greatly appreciated.

thanks,
John

Contact the Franklin Co. Fair @ 641-456 2049 in Hampton,Ia. They had a board member build four, they work fantastic. I was involved with the fair in Mason City, Ia. some this last year and they rented one. Good Luck, Gary

Kind of a rambling post I'm making here. We made a new one for our show three years ago and it's turned out to be very popular. We designed it from ideas we we have come up with from hauling people to and from the parking lots for many years. Everyone enters and leaves from the back, making it pretty hard for the tractor driver to run over someone. It's as low to the ground as we could make it so the old folks and families with strollers can get in and out easier.

This one's kinda wide (10') but can be scaled down. It can load and unload really fast. After the pic was taken we did put on smaller wheels. The axles are from an old tandem axle manure spreader. I can't come up with the length right now, but I think it's 20'long.

We also had a canopy custom made for it after the pic was taken.

People movers that load from the side work well too and can unload the people fast, but they aren't as friendly to the young folks with strollers and tend to be a little higher off the ground. The side mounts can also be made narrower if driving space is a small, and the wheels are underneath and out of the way. Changing flat tires is real unpleasant. Also, people tend to want to jump on and off while on the go. Remember your liability! Jim
