These oxen were at an old steam show a few weeks ago near my place. Wish I had more time to find out what they weighed. almost as large as a Clydesdale.

Brown swiss are the most beuatiful cattle. I saw a team that size or bigger go thru the cattle sale here in MI a few years ago. They were as gentle as kittens, hated to see them go for burger. I had my video camera and took a short vid of them. Their elderly owner had passed away and they were lost without him.

Now that is a big cow !!

Although they don't say, The shaping characteristics, look like they have a lot of Buffalo in them somewhat similar of the beefalo
in this Country.

I would assume that they are only good for a food source.

This is my little Teddy Bear, I had to order the nose ring from Texas to get on big enough to fit his nose.

There is nothing doctored about that photo. Brown Swiss steers are completely able to grow to that size and more. I am 6 ft and felt like a midget next to them. I have always said if I ever get a set of twin Swiss bulls born, I would raise a team of my own.
