Been shoveling sh!t and catering to these things for 10 years now. Never took a horse or foal to a show because another breeder commented one day that you HAD to take your stuff to a show so an expert can tell you if they are worth anything. This guy always has 2 and 3 yr olds for sale and we can't keep them past weaning, so I figure they look OK. Got an extra special one this year from my crabby old girl and everyone thinks I should show her. So her and Mom comes in for a bath today and goes to the show tomorrow. Hope they behave themselves.......

Enough that it's cheaper to buy in the States and ship over here (reason for wife's upcoming TX trip). You get ribbons if you place but ours are stocky horses and the EXPERT judging likes/breeds the sleeker pleasure QH's. This one was sold at 2 days old so she just gets to bat her eyes a little and wiggle her butt in frt of strangers. get a little publicity for next year's crop.

There are hundreds of horses in Tx for sale. Many people with really nice animals are unable to afford them and are trying to sell. If you look on Craig's List, there are lots of horses people are just trying to give away. Really sad.

Your wife won't have any trouble finding good ones to take home.

Let us know if she's going to be out our way. We would enjoy meeting her.

Thanks. Horses are already bought. One im Kansas and one in MN. Will be moved in the next couple weeks to a quarantine station in TX. I hope she don't find anything else  .

Got that behind us.......... 7.45 pts out of 8 and 9th place out of 16. Wind was blowing this morning and made the trailer pretty scary. By the time we got her and mom loaded, we were all about finished. It took awhile to get her to trot at the show and docked her a little. Confirmation, hooves and movement (after she woke up) were all 8 pts. Not a bad first show.

Glad it's over though.
