Tri state engine show in Portland, IN - riding tractors?

I'm planning to make a trip to this show sometime this week and plan to bring my trailer with me and I thought of bringing on of my cub cadet garden tractors and small wagon with me to ride around on through the swap meet area in case I find some stuff to buy so I don't have to carry it around. Now I know they had some touble a few years back with kids driving tractors around the grounds too fast and almost hitting folks and they were pretty strict on who they let drive on the grounds after that. What are the rules for this? anyone know? I don't want to cause trouble or haul the tractor down there if I can't use it. Thanks fellas. Mike.

I was there today,a lot of golf carts, lawn mowers, and homemade stuff running around.

Went last year and they were riding around on everything you can think of. Plan on going Friday but it sounds like I'll need to take some rain gear according to the weather report rain Thur Fri and Sat.

Was to our local show last weekend and they drive everything around too. I would really like to take my golfcart for my dad. He's not handicapped, but a lot of walking is too much. I see they charged $20 to get your cart in. I've been "out of circulation" for a while. Is this the new trend for carts? I like the convenience of carts and understand the handicap uses but the traffic between them and pedestrians was almost impassible.

I ve had 5 back sugeries and a hip replacment and they still hav nt got it right . I love going up to Portland but the walking kills me , the pain is very bad . I have some buggies I could take to ride on but ya cant see anything riding down the path . I dont mind abit to step out of the way for someone that NEEDS a butt buggie but it seems your always having to step over for a couple kids on garden tractors or 4 guys pilled on a golf cart just riding around and a little walking would do them good . More than half are just in everybodys way . Give them a place to ride , Handicaped and hauling , etc. no problem but it s no place for joy riders showing off there new Golf cart !

Thanks for the offer Mike but like I say ya cant see whats there if your riding . I like to dig , seems what I m looking for is always on the bottom in the back . I ll be the guy that s always looking for a place to set down .
