I have 2 case vah tractors one of them has an eagle hitch about 48" wide the other eagle hitch is 30" wide. Anyone know if this was a change and for what reason or has someone done a nice conversion so it would fit normal 3-point implements.
 
They were available with both. The narrow arms came on the 52" tread and the wide ones on the standard tread. All 3 of mine have the wide arms but if I could find a set of narrow ones I would change one so I could use regular implements on it.
 
Tread width is the center to center spacing of the tires. The tractor set up for 52" tread width had a special wheel (VT619) with more offset therefore the lift arms were inset to clear the tires.
 
Thank you vaclee for the information I am new to the vah I restored a vao last year and now I have a 1953 vah in fair condition and a 1953 or 1952 vah thats in horrible condition so I hope to make one great one or two good ones. Do you know of any good literature on the vah that would be helpful to me.
 
Send me an email when you get a chance [email protected]. Most info on the VAH will be included with the other VA series. Other that the 3 point, drawbar, drophousings and front axle most other parts are the same. The PTO parts and transmission housing are shared with the VAS.
